2. Ask a lot of questions. Similar to the previous point, it’s all about honesty. If you don’t know something, ask. Your San Jose financial planner has probably heard it all before. It’s his or her job to keep you informed, so make sure you know the answers to the questions that matter to you.

3. Keep your planner informed, too. It goes both ways. While your San Jose financial planner needs to keep you informed of all the information you need to know, you need to do the same thing in return. If you are making any life changes in the future, let your planner know about it, so that the two of you can plan accordingly.
